Carla
African elephant (Loxodonta africana)
Female, born circa June, 1987 in Zimbabwe
Arrived on May 26, 1988 at Safari Beekse Bergen
Carla is second in the ranking of the females, after Shiba. She is friendly to the other elephants, espacially to Linda, but not very much to Olga. Fortunately Olga and Carla are only fighting when the two are separated from the rest of the herd. As long as they are with the others there are no problems at all.
You can recognize Carla by her little tusks, and a small tear in her right ear.
