The elephants enclosure |

|
The outside enclosure of the herd is a large island which the elephants are sharing with baboons. Altough the baboons can roam between the elephants, the elephants can not enter the baboons area because of the (electrical) fence. The bull has a separate enclosure. |

The elephant houses of the females and the bull |

|
The elephant house of Safari Beekse Bergen exisits of a part for the females (and offspring), and a part for the bull. The females have five boxes while the bull has a box with a sandfloor (a), and a box with a concrete floor (b). There is also a pen for the bull (next to a and b) with a shute (f). A same kind of shute is situated near the separation area. |
Description
of the letters: a = box for bull with sandfloor, b = box for bull with concrete floor, c = corridor with several gates to guide the animals, d = area with several gates to guide the animals, e = entrance to outside enclosure (females), f = shute for medical care. |
