Tonya was born around 1.15 am after a smooth delivery. Thanks to mother Douanita and 'aunt' Irma, the little girl quickly stood on her four legs. After a short while she already drunk her first milk.

The newborn was named after zoo director Ton Dorresteijn, who retired at the end of Febrary 2009. What a farewell present!
