Rupa

Female, born 1975 in the wild.

Rupa came to Arnhem, on October 4, 2003, after the closing of the elephant exhibit of Riga Zoo.

Her arrival was the beginning of a period of unrest. Rupa and Pinky became good friends. Win Thida however, disliked Rupa from the beginning. When the three were together, Win Thida forced Pinky to conspire against Rupa. At last, Win Thida had to go. She moved to Amsterdam in October 2004.

Today, Rupa and Pinky are living peacefully together.
