Htoo Kin Aye is missing the tip of her trunk and is easily to recognize.

She became a grandmother on August 7, 2005 when her oldest daughter, Mingalar Oo, gave birth to Myo Set Kaung. For the first time, three generations of elephants are living in the elephant house of Emmen. 2005 also was the year that Htoo Kin Aye gave birth to her second son; Letsongmon.

Htoo Kin Aye has six descendants:
