Suzan

Female, date and place of birth are unknown.

To Emmen in 1972, to Stuttgart in november 1980.

To gave Annabel some company the zoo bought a young African elephant in 1972: Suzan, also called Suzy. The zoo also wanted to show the public the two different species of elephants. But that was a big mistake.

Suzan became a very hard to handle elephant. Probably because she didn't grew up between her own family. She often fought with Annabel, and with her two tusks she injured Annabel badly. Until today Annabel has to large scarves on both of her sides.

On November 21/22, 1980 a truck arrived with Hella, and took Suzan to transport her to Stuttgart. From there she moved on to Munster. What happened to her is not known.
